Try downloading The GIMP, and play around with it. Trust me, it's a lot better than Bannermaker. :)

Yeah, seriously. Gimp is right up there with Photoshp. It's free, too!

Then upload them onto Photobucket, and that's it!

But also, try working with a smaller size. Having a banner that large is a pain for other users with slower computers to load. BannerMaker is more for advertisement sites that just don't want to hire someone to make one for them.
