AX's Animated GIFs

Postby Astro-Xana » Sat Feb 03, 2007 6:20 pm

This is a topic featuring my animated gifs which I think you will find interesting.

So here are some I created:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168 ... etwork.gif

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168 ... Vortex.gif

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168 ... nomicX.gif

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168 ... lAngel.gif

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168 ... lasses.gif

Finally, here is one other animated gif I made featuring Ulrich and Xana William battling (as stickpeople that I created). In addition, Ulrich also fights himself as well. Also, the techniques performed by these stickpeople are techniques that I, myself, have made up:

Okay, I think I'm the opnly one on Lyokofreak who actually USES gimp too, so I'll help.

When you save it, there should be a little windows that says Warning: Gimp Cannot Handle Multiple layers. Or something like that. There should be two options: Save as aimated GIF and Merge layers. As you might know allready, select animated gif and press okay, or export. A new windows should pop up, which'll have something about timing in it.. If I'm correct (I don't have it on my computer right now, It's on the other side of the comp...) it'll say something like XXX ms (Replacing XXX with a number) And two arrows. Play around with the numbers, and just keep saving it til you get the desired timing. The lower the number is, the faster the slide will go. But the higher the number is, the longer it will go.

If this is too confuzing, or if you need more advanced stuff, I would reccomment going to gimp.org and getting GAP, which is the GIMP Animation Program.

But for now, just deal with the timing.

And if you like, I can make a small seriese of screenshots or even a movei for you later.

And if I may make a suggestion: When you first put the text on, save the layer as a text layer on a spare document. Drag the layer over every time you have a new frame with text on it, and then edit the text layer to the appropriate frame with the text that should display. then use Persective Transform to angle it right.

(IE, Have A, Then AS, Then AST, Et cetera...)

I use Jasc Animations shop and have had the same problem. The animated gif is saved at normal speed, but when you run it on a webpage it's slower simply because of lack in PC resources. I would just Cull the animation and take out 1 frame every two frames and then it will look the correct speed on webpages (twice the speed). And as far as River Past goes... I've never had a single good experience with them.

I'm predicting that there is a Hyper Flash Torque. That Hyper Flash Torque that Xana created as the Skid's opposite (which is that giant drill contained in a new garage Xana created), it drills into Jeremy's and Franz Hopper's Replikas and creates a giant flash that disintegrates the Replikas into virtual particles. As these virtual particles are floating around, the Torque then sucks them all in, and the Torque then spits them all out. The particles are now Xanafied (since they've entered Xana's Torque) and they form into entirely new Replikas (since the data of the particles have been completely modified into something new). The Nav-Torques can accomplish this process as well.

Also, the music that expresses the Torque in the garage is a hard-core slow buzzing techno piece of music. The buzzing sort of sounds like this in the very beginning of this song (the song "Raikiri" from Naruto):
