Another point of note: Yumi raising funds for the disaster in Japan would seem to place this ep in 2012... which would really screw up the "same continuity" argument. Didn't the original series leave off, in-series, in 2002 or something?

Huh, did they actually end an episode on a sort of melancholy introspective unsure note there? With proper pacing to let it breathe, even. I sorta dug that, might have been the first time I said to myself that the writers for Evolution here could bring some feeling to the story.
