S4 Episode 6: Maiden Voyage

Skid's "maiden voyage"! :D Woot!

The kids set sail across the Caribbean fighting pirates and using a mysterious compass to find...oh wait...wrong franchise. XDXD *is bricked*


Anyway, the Spoiler advert shows that at least one of the new monsters, the Kongre, appears in this episode. Perhaps the others will too? ^.^

Looks like there's some serious torpedo battling as well. ;)

I predicted this...and it's SO WRONG!

That Kongre is not leaving my thoughts Ah! It's too scary! (Well let's just say it makes me cringe everytime I see it.) However they could be viruses (but then that's be killing it, cause of Xana..) All in all they look like eels...big metallic ones...

Relax. I can't see them getting a warrior mode out of that shape. Besides, a proper megazord has to involve combining of some sort.

Eh? I thought there was some combining since Ulrich's like, "Yumi! Behind you!" and it then kinda shows Yumi in a little ship like thing by herself.

Kind of a spoiler, but yes, they all start out combined in the submarine and can break apart.

What about the ability to combine, like the Megazoord from Power Rangers or the Super Robot from SRMTHFG?

Important difference: The Super Robot doesn't combine, it seperates; It spends most of it's time in Robot form, unless they need the vehicles for something. I think it was shown combining maybe twice in the entire series.

Skid seems to be the same: The sub is the default form, not the individual vehicles.

I love the Skid...its awesome. The new monsters definitely look evil. This episode is awesome..and tense too.

The nav skids and the monster scene reminds me of Star Wars.

It was a pretty good episode. I wish they could of done more. 8/10

POINT-BY-POINT-AWESOMENESS

Jeremie got to DO something for once!

This episode is PACKED with tech-stuff and hints, finally an explanation of Lyoko's geography, the network's composition and so-on.

XANA used the Keys to Lyoko to create his replica (at least what I gather from the episode)...very devious. Very.

Also, if that really is a full replica of Lyoko, then the supercomputers housing it have to be extremely powerful - maybe not as powerful as the one in the basement, but a significant fraction...Project Carthage anyone?

Action, action, so much action! Jerome's just showing off now! :D And it's all to our benefit! :)

'This is for you Daddy' - cute, soooooo cute. Nice to hear 'Daddy' again.

And that 4th nav-skid - that's there for a reason surely. Gotta be - Jeremie, or William, or maybe Sissi, or something more - ooooooh I love it!

JUST PLAIN AWESOME! WAHAHAHA! YAYZORS!
