Just saw this episode for the second time about 5 minutes ago. :)
I have one question: how did the polymorphic clone still exist after XANA deactivated his own tower? Was the Odd-clone changed from a polymorpher to a monster or something? :umm:
thank you all for the good memories <3

My guess is if XANA needs to control/create something in the real world he needs to obtain a lot of power, so he activates a tower to do so. So when the polymorph was in Lyoko XANA didn't need to have the tower activated, so he deactivated it to infiltrate into the team and it was no longer necessary to do so.

Just my theory.

On Lyoko, Xana can sorta do whatever he pleases. I missed Revelation the first time but caught it just now...Poor Odd, Xana almost killed him, but he was able to laugh it off when Yumi saved him, quote

*you are the only woman who has ever kept me waiting that long* :*D

and the look on Aelita's face when she figured out that her dreams of the Hermitage and things she remembered about living on earth were actually true.

100/10

Yeah, as long as he's on Lyoko he has infinite power, pretty much. Lyoko feeds him energy, and so he can keep his clones up much longer. Plus he was basing it off of someone, which doesn't take nearly as long as creating a new virtual form (i.e. creating Sissi's Lyoko form, etc.)

Understand?

Overall it was very good. When Odd fixed his hair and it looked like a rooster =P

Lyoko is Xana's territory, he has the home advantage. Odd's hair did look pretty funny after he fixed it..still wet evidently.

The Ulrich versus the Evil Ulrich, that was totally awesome. The part that got me was the evil Ulrichs eyes turned orange with the Xana Symbol.. that was an awesome effect.

I can't believe I just now realized this, but...

I was watching a D-Day thing on the History Channel today (until my friend called me), and I realized that Franz materialized himself and Aelita on the fiftieth anniversary of D-Day. I don't think that's a coincidence (at least as far as the writers are concerned).

I don't think so either. I mean in a way it was Franz's D-day.

Besides the Ulrich vs. clone fight near the end, I thought the part where Odd asked a girl out and got rejected only to be laughed at by Aelita really stood out to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong about that part being in this episode. I think it is but am not sure at the moment.

I couldn't help but notice that when:
evil Ulrich jumps up into the air and is coming down on Ulrich,
he pulls his sword back behind his head to make a powerful blow,
the camera is positioned behind Ulrich's head looking up at Evil Ulrich,
and the whole thing is in slow-motion,
--it looks just like one of the Sephiroth vs. Cloud scenes in the intro to FFVII: Advent Children. Same camera angle and choreography. I also know in the end of season 3 William has that huge sword, just like Cloud. Now that is some good homage right there. Respect the classics!

Hmmm...interesting thing about that though...this episode and Final Fantasy VII Advent Children were both released at the end of 2005 (at least in Japan anyway, for Advent Children)...which means, that this episode and FFVIIAC were likely both in production at the same time (or around the same time)...which, unless MoonScoop has spies in Japan, makes the idea that the inspiration for that scene came from FFVIIAC.

Now I could have my dates (or information) wrong, but, it seems unlikely that the slow-motion scene was borrowed directly FFVIIAC. More than likely it was either in homage to several other countless movies that have featured the use of slow-motion during a battle (or it could always be another Matrix reference, since they like those), or it was simply a creative, dynamic choice.

After all, if one wants to show a finishing move, and show it in great detail...one would naturally look into using slow-motion. :D
