Yup - he was in Indigo Propecy.

Actually, it was thanks to the game that we got into the studio - we couldn't find it and then I saw a man coming up the street - and thanks to one of the game's special features (on the VAs), I recognised him as David Gasman.

So I politely approached him;

"Pardon Mousiuer."

"Oui?"

"Parlez-vous-Anglais?"

"Rhys right?"

lol - and then he took us to the studio and let us in - so thanks Indigo Prophecy/Farenheit for that! :)

EDIT: By the way - some people are asking me about giving spoilers for S3 - I'd like to PUBLICALLY declare that I am not going to - anything I say will first have to be approved by both the VAs and Jerome Mouscadet - if I say something I shouldn't, it's their jobs that would be on the line, and I do not want to betray their trust like that.

Sorry for that little ramble everyone, Barbara especially, but I felt it had to be said - hope it doesn't stall the thread too much :)

You saw David G.? NO WAY!! :D Because of me liking Jim (see my sig), he is one of my fave CL voice actors! I am also happy that David gets to play Herb and William with just as much effort. Oh yeah, and Theo and XANA. ;) :D

You know TB3 eventually your going to get killed for going to the studio and meeting them.

Eh....so Barbara? How's the voice acting doin'?

(When I say this I mean how is it going doing the stuff?) Is it stressful?

it can be stressful when it's towards the end of the day and we have alot of catching up to do, and i'm worried about going to pick up my daughter...normal stress, like everybody! Other than that it's the most fun job I've ever done!

So Barbara, any other projects you're working on besides CL by any chance? I know Jodi said she's doing a French cartoon called Potlach she told me she's playing a pig, no I'm not insulting her she's really playing a pig.

kiwi wrote:Thanks for answering that other question for me, since I can't!

In resonse to your very good question, when I got the scripts for doing the guides tracks for season two, they were already in english, and if memory serves me that line was already in it. Perhaps Jerome had made the changes already. The funny thing is, I did NOT, frustrating as it was for me, do Ulrich's voice on the guide tracks. There was a mix-up or misunderstanding at the first session, and we thought that it was Doug that was obliged to do all the male voices and I all the female voices. so for the three or four months we recorded those, everytime i saw a line for Ulrich come up I had to stop myself from doing it. I often forgot, and jumped right in, which meant we then had to redo the line! It really was SO frustrating! I found out later that Doug wouldn't have minded my doing the voice of Ulrich at all on the guide tracks, he'd just been told to do all the guys voices so he thought he had to! ;)

^_^ Aww, you're welcome and thank you so much for the information on the scripts, particularly the one for "Cold War". I really was surprised that the "I need you" line wasn't in the original script...especially since alot of fans (especially Y/U supporters) mark that as one of the best lines (and scenes) in season 2 (and, for some, season 1).

That must have been terribly difficult for you to not be able to do Ulrich's guide track voices. D: I do hope that if they ever use English guide voices again, that they let you do Ulrich. O.o

Thanks again! :)

I am also doing Potlach! Iplay two different cows, they're sisters. One is named Cassandra and she's sort of a hillbilly old maid (though has a teenage calf she can't handle), and the other is a sultry Holstein named Betty, very much a vamp. Jodi's pig is a very funny character.
I also, like Jodi, play little baby penguins in a new series for tiny tots called the Ozieboos.
thanks for asking!

I should suggest that to the writers, it's completely within the possibilities of the show, which is very zany. I see we all fell right into your trap! :*D

you would all love these sheep- i feel privileged to be able to watch him do the work. Another of my favourite characters in that cartoon is a dog named Woof, played by David G.: some of the best comic acting I've ever seen, uhem, rather, heard.

Hey Barbara... since there's plenty of animal talk... I got a question.

All the Potlach characthers are animals? I heard about cows, sheep, dogs and pigs mentioned here.

Ah, the classic comedy relief, whenever there's a movie or a television show, there's always the comic relief and no doubt David Gasman would play a character like Woof anyway, how's work on Season 3 going? And TB3 and Mewberries, I'm not asking what happens in Season 3, just curious how's her work on that paticular season is going.
