Honestly (coming from a guy) I don't see the major purpose of doing anything special for the 16th. I just went to a restaurant we normally go to for my birthday unless my birthday lands on thanksgiving then we plan on something else but other than that I normally do nothing special.

Since my birthday is around labor day and a lot of people are gone I usually just make my parent's take me out to gorge myself on sushi.

Or go shopping. either way, most of my birthdays are spent by myself

<s>that was probably no help, orz</s>

spend the whole day waiting in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles and come out with a permit/license.
That's a good feeling

My 16th birthday, I actually hadn't had a birthday in a while so I just invited my closest friends over and we did whatever. It was pretty fun, actually. It depends on your tastes though, if you want to do something low-key or extravagant, or how much money you're willing to spend, etc. Your parents might have some good suggestions... but I know when I was your age I didn't want to listen to their suggestions, so lol. It's up to you.

I know one of my friends had esentially a rock concert in his back yard. Or you could have a rave party. THATS something people will remember

AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! I have less than a month to figure this out... We're having fireworks, but that'll only take up like ten minutes so, I still have about 4 hours and 50 minutes left to fill... Suggestions?

Honestly I think you're trying to make this huge when it doesn't need to be, sorry to say but no matter how big it is, people won't remember it forever, maybe a few months, a year or two and that's just if someone remembers something that happened. Parties are meant for the time not a lifetime. Though if anything just do what makes you happy (Note that does NOT mean you can do what ever you want and disobey the law and/or your parents.). Like have a few friends over have some cake and watch the fireworks. If anything ask your parents if you can go somewhere out to eat, come home for cake watch the fireworks and listen to some music.

And that's count two for the spam, JF.

By the way, how did this turn out? Not every day we get a birthday thread, after all.
