My friends hate my boyfriend.

I have this boyfriend who I'm totally in love with. He is not only my best relationship ever, but my longest. The only thing is, my friends hate him. He asked me why it seemed that my friend hate him in a note so I asked one. She said,"Oh, he's okay. I just hate you guys being together. I mean you're totally not the same around him." Then she made an entire list of about 13 give or take reasons. I've been known as the depressed little emo kid for a while so most of them were along the lines of "You're too happy." or "You're really preppy around him." And another friend said "Yea uh why are you dating him? He's such a loser. He HAS to be gay!" What do I do?

Saying this, it's only fair to point out that I have never had a girlfriend before and thus have 0 experience.

I dated a boy in 6th grade when I was 12. He wasn't the cutest looking boy in the school. But he was nice and he liked me for who I was. (Im a tomboy.) I liked him back.
I too asked my friends what they thought about me dating him. They didn't care. They were happy with who I was dating. I acted different around him. Instead of acting super immature and obnoxious in front of him. I would act all calm and quiet, but he wanted me to act obnoxious though. Yet my friends didn't care who I was dating.

Now, I'm not bragging my friends are the best, but those are how real friends are.
This is from personal experience. I know what friends are really friends.

Ditch those "friends" of yours. Especially if they made a list of why you shouldn't date the dude. That's already taking far enough, dude.

Well, I've become really close to some of his friends and I talked to one for an hour and a half last night and instead of telling me to break up with me like the rest of them did, or trying to kill him like my friends did, he talked to him and we'll see how things go. So I don't know whether I'll have to break up with him or it'll get better...
