Ok. My mother walked in my room right. And she was asking me what I do on the computer. I tell her that I just get on my forums about Code Lyoko. She thinks that I do "other" things which I'm not.

How do I tell her I'm not doing THAT thing she thinks?

Well, she should trust you. Sit down and talk and say 'I'm not trying to do 'other' things, here, I'll show you the forum I go to' and there we go. If she still distrusts you...that's not nice. Have her put Parental Controls on or something, because LF shouldn't be about things parental controls block.

My god that's just like me. My mom thinks I'm getting into things I shouldn't and that I'm talking to no one but creeps and weirdos. I tell her constantly that I'm being safe and not sharing any "Vital" personal info. Such as my name, address, phone, e-mail and so on, but she still doesn't believe me. My dad on the other hand knows that I'm being safe, and even though he checks up on me every once and a while he doesn't question that I'm doing anything wrong. In fact if it wasn't for him you guys wouldn't be hearing from me now. At first I could see why my mom was worried. I hid the screen from her whenever she came in the room, but in my defence I did it because every time she saw it on the screen she would say how "dumb" Code Lyoko is and I was sick of getting harassed for liking a show. Now she says I should get off and do my school work all the time which is just her new defence because even though I go to these places my school work still gets in on time, I get all A's in my classes, my social activity with my friends hasn't dropped, and I am still an outgoing cheerful individual. I've shown them the forums I go to and it worked for my father but my mother ... not so much. It's just like her to act that way though. I told her once that she was hurting my feelings and came back with "and what about my feelings when you say that I'm hurting your feelings".

Oh you know shes just doing it because she loves and cares about you so much right? Shes right to be concerned or have that suspicion because even though you don't, some kids lie to there parents and there are ALOT of screwed up people on the internet.

However if I assuming by "other bad things" you mean... Well.... That OTHER bad thing you can do on the internet aside from giving information to strangers, show her your browser history.

Big problem! She should be trusting you! But mostly, she's looking out for you. But, your Mom does need to learn to be able to trust you more. Because, most Parents who don't trust their Kid on things, well, their Kid ends up going crazy. (P.S I am a Brother to a Shrink.)

Great News. My mother does trust me. She justed wanted to know what I was doing. I told her all websites except my forums are blocked. She allowed me to pick which ones to block.

Good. My parent trust me because the computer is in the living room. And they see what I do. The only thing annoying about it is that sometimes they stand right behind me and just watch.

My parents trust me because I rarely use Internet =) And my parent's doesn't watch me. If they do, I switch on my OS sourcecode, and this scares them away
