Lemmee start off this way: I've been made fun of since forever. Everyone thinks I'm the gayest kid in the whole school, and the kids who don['t think that, think I'm a retard! First off, whatever you do, dont stop being yourself. Once you do that, you may as well not exist at all. Dont change yourself just because other dont like you...they will see right through it.

As for gaining respect, its not just some step by step thing. I myself dont even know how it really works. Just keep your head up high and know it wont last forever. It may not seem like it now, but as you get older, things get better and no one really cares anymore (except for those who just dont seem to grow up).

Just keep the friends you do have close...and you will see that they would be better to have than all the jerks in the "popular" crowd.

I dont know if that helped at all...but I try.

well the only way to get respect is to act as if you deserve it, my advice, practice your walk in front of the mirror
(yes I'm serious, I did it too) until you can make it seem as if you wear regalness about you like a cloak
if all else fails go with the fail safe, the answer to all social problems *drumroll* the glare, the look
that lets people know that you could walk all up and down their <insert exclamative here, don't be afraid use your imagination> or to quote "Get Shorty" "you don't feel any way about it you just know, I own you" well those are the only things that have ever worked for me, but keep in mind, I don't conside relationships with humans, or the human race in general for that matter, all that important, so use your best judgement and feel free to disregard everything I've said

I am in complete agreement with Vili on this one. Don't change who you are to fit in. You being 13 would put you in about 8th grade, right (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just guessing here..). Things will change in high school...Everything changes in hich school. People will diversify and suddenly you won't be the "gay kid" or the "retard" anymore. At my school, I happen to have a whole group of friends the adore "The Nightmare Before Christmas." One even carries around a purse with Jack on it. ^^

So, just keep being who you are. People should respect you for that alone, because at least you won't have changed to fit the crowd. *hug*

-goth chick (im okay with that one)
-gaywad (i am straight. 100%)
-ghetto (i was like WTF?)

Its not fun being picked on. don't worry about your voice. it will change, your still in puberty. so you can't do anything about that one. My friend Beloved is just like you. she is made fun for no reason. there is nothing she can do. (though calling them names doean't help. Don't feel bad at all. I have gone through the same thing (still am) since kindergarten (I'm now in High School). It sucks I know, but just remember your friends at Lyoko Freak! We're always here for ya buddy. The only advice I can think of to give you about the voice thing is this: You're only in 7th grade so your body's changing. Give yourself some time to grow up before you judge yourself.

I know exactly how you feel. I just graduated high school (literally 'just'....it was on Wensday, the 14th!!!) but for almost all of my school carrer, I was the werid chick in the school. Artist, quiet among enemies, crazy among friends. I have a disfunction in my right eye that makes the right lid lower than the left. I used to hate that. I even got an operation on it, but it didn't work.
I love it now (usually). I am still quiet at times, but I am much more comfortable with myself. Some of my tormenters didn't grow up, but I grew above them. You will too. Just hold your head up high. You're unique, and not clone. You have friends, and they'll be all alone.

Just do what I do: Say, (in your mind): Screw them. I mean, what's wrong for having a high voice? It's perfectly normal to have a voice that's high pitched. Also, why should you care about what other people think? You shouldn't. Remember: all humans are idiots. Even me. Trust your own opinion, don't care about other peoples! Just stick with your friends, and talk to your guidence counselor. Trust me, just talking about problems makes you feel better.

You're in 7th grade? Highschool sucks too but you'll have so much more freedom and more kids to meet. If you're lucky you'll get in classes with all people that don't know you! 7th and 8th grades are the hardest because you've been with the same people for so long and things are starting to change drastically; the kids get so bad. Just hold on until highschool and things will start to look up for you.

Everything you said in this paragraph makes some sense, actually, just by looking at your behavior in LF.

Being yourself might be the best option you have, but it's also a dangerous one, depending on the enviroment you have at school.

And I'm sure I can agree with those who make fun of you for being the "Nightmare Before Christmas" kid (despite that I don't know how you manifest your fandom about it IRL). I know that you stated many several times before that you love that movie to death, but this is a Code Lyoko forum, as opposite to a TNBC forum. And you got some people here to a point where he grew a dislike of the movie.

And nobody yet (unless I'm mistaken) has answered your last question yet, but one of the things you could do is to chill out about TNBC. At least, I'm telling this in your face.

And as for the voice thing, they might get used to it eventually. And things may change in high school when you reach it.
