It's an easy Flash project. I just need someone to do it.

Okay, so go to this.
I have an account on the site and I'm attempting to find someone to help me make a box.
Kind of like the box the girl has in her profile, the Flash one with all the stories.
If you mouse-over the titles, you'll see the summary and such come up.
I asked her how I can get one and she said a friend made it so she doesn't know.

SO. This is where you come in.
If you can make one of those for poor, Flash-deprived me...I'd be ever so grateful.
I have 21 stories so it's not a huge project, exactly.
It would be pretty much the same as her box, but different background image and different colors and the like.

...?

Can you use javascript on the site? Cause its overkill to do something as simple as that in... flash. Are you limited to what you can use?

I'm pretty sure we can use Java on the site.
We should be able to.
Like I said, I know next to nothing xD

Java and Javascript are two totally different things. Java is an app on a website. For an example of Java, click the Chat link above you. PjIrc is Java. For Javascript goto Facebook or practically any other Web 2.0 site and something interactive. The act of doing something interactive is defined by Javascript.

Since the bio box apparently lets you enter html, paste this into your bio, save, and click on the text

EDIT: Even with Code tags its still taking out the onClick attribute... Copy it from here http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=PgCayixL

If nothing happens, then send an email to the support team asking if you can use Javascript (it only takes 5 minutes, its not that hard). If a dialog comes up then tell me and I can paste some code that will let you have the exact same thing.

Well, thing is, it's not just the links.
It's the whole rating/excerpt/whatever.
D:

And yeah, like I said, I don't know computers xD
Fail of me, I know.

Well if you can use Javascript, I can toss together some code that will do all of that without the complications of Flash. But I need to know if you can use Javascript. If not then I can't really help you.

Have you tried contacting the person asking if you can use it if you say it was by her? Might be alot simpler.

I have to ask if we can use Javascript, still.
I'll do that right now >:

I don't know the person that made the boxes.
If I did, I'd probably ask her xD
But I don't know her at all.

Yikes...that would be a bit of a nightmare to do in Flash, especially with 21 different projects to include in it. D: So...much...actionscript...and the file would be huge. @_@

I definitely hope you're allowed to use Javascript. ^^; It wouldn't be impossible to do in Flash, but it would take some time. It's a shame you can't contact the original maker like Lord Quackstar suggested (or contact her through that person with the actual profile), because you could just use the source file and change it as needed.

Okay, the admin says she has no clue if we can use Javascript xD
Like, it's allowed, she just doesn't know if it would work in the site.
It probably would, though...I don't see why not.

I could technically ask for the person's page who made it.
But I'd feel kind of bad, asking just so she could give me the stuff.
And plus, it's kind of weird asking them for her page so I can have a box like they have xD
I kind of was hoping it would be a bit different than theirs, a little.
But I might have to end up asking them xD

Well if the admin doesn't know then the only way to test is to put that code I posted in your bio, save, click it, and see if anything happens. If something does happen then I can start working on something.

EDIT: Sorry if I sound so persistent, its just I don't want to spend an hour writing something only to find out that you can't use javascript. I might just create an account on the site and test it myself.

EDIT2: Yes, Javascript works. It will take me some time to get a working script in, but once I do I will post it as soon as possible. Since I'm going to be crawling your profile page, is your username the same on this site?

EDIT3: Well this is odd: Its stripping <script> tags and onClick attributes. I'm getting frustrated and have lots of stuff to work on thats just a little bit more important (school, stream tonight). I will pick this back up this afternoon.

My username is Savannah Suicide there d:
My profile page is located right here.
Since everything is on the summary page, I'd only have to give you the excerpt :3
Thank you!
