Movie editing program and App creating program?

Postby Rho » Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:23 pm

I'm trying to find a free movie file editing program and another one that can create iPod Touch/iPhone apps for Mac.

I googled, didn't find anything other than one that couldn't crop video (which i'm trying to do) and changed almost all the colors to blue for some reason.
And iMovie refuses to import any movie files. .MP4, .mov, .avi, .flv, .wmv...

As for the app thing, I'm taking a shot at trying to create one. All I've found has been stuff that costs $200.

Which version of iMovie are you using? iMovie HD (aka '06), iMovie '08, or '09?
I really gotta fix up this theme

Are you wanting to EDIT or CONVERT? For editing, there are 10,000 apps for mac's than can do video editing since thats video editors favorite OS. For encoding I can recommend Avidemux because of its tons of filters.

I'm just going to tell you this: your copy of iMovie is really, really outdated. iMovie '09 is version 8.

What OS are you using, again?

Ironically enough, I asked a really good IT guy for his recommendation for a video editor as replacement for my pirated Adobe CS4. He recommended Kden live, a really good and polished video editor that runs on almost all OS's. I haven't tested it out since I just heard about it a few hours ago in school, but am working on it right now.

Or you can use iMovie, which might do what you want.

I've been unable to locate a place to download the new iMovie. I really don't want to reinstall again..
