Full-featured music editor

Before I got my MacBook, I used to use Windows 98, and there was this program on it called Nero Wave Editor. It had this feature called Transpose, and I really liked transposing songs to sound different.
However, Wave Editor isn't compatible with OSX, and I really want to transpose songs. Can anyone direct me to a full-featured audio editor with the Transpose feature?

Audacity works for that, with the right sound plugins. Also, it's made for OSX, Windows and Linux, so it should be compatible ^^

You can find Audacity at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
and you can get Nyquist and LADSPA plugins for it from various sources - Google is your friend.
One of those plugins should have the Transpose feature you're looking for.
