Desktop Customization on a Mac

I have Leopard and I want to know how to customize my desktop to look real cool.
Like WinCustomize is for Windows, is there anything for Mac?

I found this freeware program to make the Dock look cool. It's called SuperDocker, and you can download it here.
It's really cool, but you want to update it from the current version. I have version 2.5.something, that one is 2.2.

EDIT: Also, the program CandyBar is nice. It allows you to change many system icons and the Dock, which is nice.
I really gotta fix up this theme
