Fellow web coders, the Acid3 test is about to be passed!
Opera has reached 100/100... But a bug in the test has been fixed, leaving them back at 99. Safari has hit 99, and it seems like they've hit 100 in the past few hours.
(yeah, the cool links in my old sig died. :( A few nerdy newish projects are here. )

Hooray for Opera! But I still don't understand what this Acid test is. Does it cause crazy hallucinations?

And I'm kind of afraid to ask... Where does IE fall? *cringes*

I would imagine IE has a N/A out of 100. Does IE even support SVG?

It tests a bunch of things- mostly on the Javascript side, but a little SVG. Also some CSS, etc.

In general, useful stuff for webapps.

Test details here. Feel free to try it- in most current browsers, it will fall apart terribly.

(IE7 gets 12, IE8 is around 18, and IE 5.5 got 14. Firefox 3 is 71)

And no, IE has no SVG support. Meaning JesusFreak can't play Penguin Recapitator. ;__;

I tried it twice, and both times, Windows said "Opera has encountered a problem and needs to close". Bah. I'm running Opera 9.something...

I also tried it twice, and both times i only got to 53/100.
