Ok this guy on Tech Links named his forum Lyokofreak. Isn't that copyright infrigment (sp?). I asked him to change it so Erynn would not get mad but so far he has not.

The unusual thing about it though is the similarity of the image to the one on this sites main page. Well in color at least. And from the username "Jeremie2" I would have to say he or she is a bit low on the creativity scale.

Well, the coloring on the image is the same as the one here, but it's a different image. Anyway, does adding a "2.0" make it yours? I would have thought that if you used "Lyoko Freak" anywhere in the name, it would be copyright infringement.

Anyway, you'd think he could be more original. I mean, "Lyoko Freak 2.0" is the name of his site, and "JeremieZ" is his name.

I don't think so. Lyoko is owned by Moonscoop but don't it have to be complete with the Code in it to? Any way he (JeremieZ) made it for his forum Lyokofreak.

About the BKO thing at TL, I PM-ed wartonchan to change the name. I think he came up with the BKO forum after a PM I sent to him.

Very few Code Lyoko forums are successful since LF existed. At least, for the English talking forums...

I think that's a bit harsh - admittedly we don't know the whole story but this could just be a really uncreative person who had no ill intent towards us or the forums.

You forget though that at LF, StarWay cleans out all the 0 post members. If they had all been left up like they are at TL, we would have considerably far more members, I'd bet.

Sheer numbers cannot define how popular a forum is. One would have to account for the number of people who regularly visit and post, along with how many have actually posted period. Plus, there are alot of other things that can factor into it, like how enjoyable the forum experience is, the members themselves, and what one can do there, and the loyalty shown towards it that factor into how popular a forum truly is. That's just my musing on it though. ^^

Also he prob. didn't know about Lyokofreak (although I don't see why it is the cooliest Lyoko site ever)

And anyway, what does it matter? I'd be more worried about him if his forum had a lot of useful stuff on it (like downloads or something) than if he had more members than LF (erm... OUR LF). Sites that are really well done and give people a reason to keep coming back grow fast.
