How do you run a .cpp?
I made a C++ program, and I have no idea how to run it.

Me neither. If you want my advice, quit C++ and move on to Liberty BASIC. It's easier.
thank you all for the good memories <3

What is Liberty BASIC? Does it make .exe's?

Sort of... you convert the BASIC language into a .TKN file, add the runtime engine and a couple of .DLLs, and then put all those together into a .ZIP or something. But to do that in the first place, you need to buy the licsence for $49.99. :( You can download it at http://www.libertybasic.com

If it has BASIC in the word then it is crap. Simple

You need to get a C++ compiler to compile your .cpp files into executables.

On windows I recommend Bloodshed Dev C++.
http://www.bloodshed.net/devcpp.html

On GNU/Linux you would use GCC
(Always packaged with the OS)

C++ is one of the best programming languages you can start off with because it is object oriented and strongly typed, meaning data types. If you start off with C++ most other programming languages will come fairly easily.

1. IT IS NOT C**P!! It's acutally a pretty good program to start out with (I've been programming for about 8 months by now.)
2. No wonder I couldn't compile either when I tried to.
3. I got Bloodshed Dev C++ as my compiler; I'll say that it's probably the best C++ program.
4. No comment.
5. Usually people start with easier programs and then move on to tougher programs.

1. It only works for windows, it is crap. It can't compile down to machine code, it is crap (exclusions include interpreted languages. Languages that compile down to byte code are crap, like Java). If you have to pay for it, it is crap. There aren't any serious programs written in Liberty BASIC, it is crap.
5. I guess it more of a difference in learning styles. I figure that if you get used to it first then you don't forget it.
