First of all, what host are you using? What's your link?
Secondly, if your forum can't connect to the database, that probably means that there isn't one. You'll have to look into setting one up. (Ask your host for help if you don't know how.)

I am using BlueHost.
It uses MySQL version 4.0.25.
I named the database purplehi_phpbb
and the user is purplehi_admin.
I did exactly what the flash tutorial for phpBB told me to do, except I couldn't CHMOD for the config.php.
