Greatest Movie Of All Time Tournament?

Postby MY85 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 1:28 pm

To spice up some activity in this forum, I think we should have a movie tournament. This would lead to creation of several threads for people to vote for which movie is the best and so on.

For this thread, I think we could have it running with nominating 32 or 64 movies if possible.

I'll present some candidates and you people mention movies that could participate in the tournament. I'll name a few films for this thing to get it started.

1. Scarface
2. Donnie Darko
3. Me, Myself and Irene
4. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
5. Star Wars - Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi
6. Boys Don't Cry
7. Requiem For A Dream
8. About A Boy

OK, copy and paste the list then add yours to it. Remember if we need to, I'll expand the list.

I'm liking this idea a lot. I think 64 may not cut it, as we're all bound to have different tastes. That said, I won't add many to the list, as to leave room for others.

1. Scarface
2. Donnie Darko
3. Me, Myself and Irene
4. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
5. Star Wars - Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi
6. Boys Don't Cry
7. Requiem For A Dream
8. About A Boy
9. Pulp Fiction
10. American Beauty
11. Braveheart
12. Billy Elliot
13. Fight Club
14. The Professional (Leon)
15. Saving Private Ryan

Maybe we should aim for 128. Or even 256. :S

As long as you're the one doing the seeding and drawing up the bracket, I'm fine with anything.

I'd rather have it on General Discussion since on Games it's subject to get spammed or ignored, the second one I fear the most. Plus, a thread on GD gets more attention than one on Games.

This thing does not have the intention to be a forum game, so I'm demanding it to be moved to GD again.

Anyone up for doing a song one as well? I mentioned it a bit ago and it got ignored. And I worry more about spamming in games than ignoring. Games is still pretty popular with most of the forum members.
