Thread Resurrection (aka Necroposting) is acceptable in cases in which a duplicate thread has been created and a previous one exists. Many times and Admin or Mod will even direct you there before locking the duplicate.

Try reading this next time. This should probably be locked and the other one bumped.

Still, it looks like you've learned your lesson about necroposting though, which is good. :P
